Fundraise for Mutual Support

Charity Challenges and Just Giving

Get involved in a charity challenge and raise funds for Mutual Support whilst you do it. Whether it is running a marathon, jumping out of a plane or holding a doughnut-eating competition, or something simple like collection loose copper coins. Simply taking part in a charity challenge is a great way to raise funds and have a great time whilst you’re doing it.

We can help you set up a free online fundraising page in minutes, just contact fundraising@mutual-support.org.uk

  • Email it to friends and family
  • They can donate online easily and safely with a credit/debit card
  • The money comes straight to us

Individual Donations

You can donate directly in the following ways:

  • Online via the ‘Donate Here Now‘ button (preferred option, as it incorporates Gift Aid)
  • By cheque – Payable to ‘Mutual Support’
  • By Standing Order

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Mutual Support does not charge a membership fee but it does cost us a minimum of £35,000 per year to run the Group. Some members choose to set up a standing order for whatever they can afford in lieu of a membership fee; if you would like to do this please contact the Treasurer for details. For more information on how to donate as an individual contact the Treasurer via the ‘contact us’ page and remember if you pay tax, for every £1 you donate, Mutual Support can claim another 25p in Gift Aid from the Government.

  • Match Funding – offering your employees the opportunity of doubling the money they raise for Mutual Support

Fundraising Events

There are all kinds of events going on all over the country all year round and every single one of them has the potential to be a fundraising event for Mutual Support.

Whether it’s an air show, a local park fun day, a tombola in a supermarket or an agricultural event, if you, your family or your friends can spend even just one day a year running a stand for Mutual Support, with the money raised you could help hundreds of veterans receive the support they deserve.

Mutual Support Committee Members attend events all over the country and help is always needed for manning the stalls or even just setting things up. If you would like to help please contact the Publicity Team via the ‘contact us’ page. Alternatively, if you would like to organise something yourself, please contact us to discuss our fundraising materials.

Legacies

After securing the financial future of family and friends, you may decide to leave a gift to a chosen charity in your will.

Mutual Support welcomes any kind donations from individuals in their wills. They provide much needed income, and without the generosity of others, Mutual Support could not continue to support our veterans and their families. So if you would like to leave a gift to the charity in your will, please contact us.

In Memory

Instead of sending flowers when someone close dies, friends and family sometimes prefer giving a donation to a particular cause in memory of a loved one.

Donations like this go a long way towards helping Mutual Support to continue providing services that make such a difference to the daily lives of so many veterans.

Every Penny Counts

here are so many different ways you could help to support Mutual Support it would be impossible to list them all. But here are just a few small ideas that can make a big difference:

  • All Serving members are requested to ask their own unit to consider adopting Mutual Support as their charity of the year – fundraising information and materials can be provided, please contact Publicity or Fundraising.
  • If you have a local pub where you are well known, why not ask if they will display one of Mutual Support’s collection boxes? To obtain a collection box, contact Publicity or Fundraising via the ‘contact us’ page.
  • Holding a Coffee Morning.
  • Sponsored Days in School.
  • Car Boot Sales.
  • Sponsored sporting events.
